| Pickle Springs Natural Area |
Pickle Springs Natural Area is east of Farmington on Highway 32, then east on Route AA and north on Dorlac Road. This forest tract is a Designated Natural Area containing sandstone knobs, arches, canyons and cliffs.
This 262-acre Natural Area is managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation. It's located just 5 miles from Hawn State Park.
Pickle Springs Nature Area features bluffs, hiking trails, unique sandstone formations, and hidden box caverns.
Some of the formations have been designated a natural landmark by the National Park Service.
You may also see Missouri's only native pine tree, the short leaf, pinus echinata.
